New South Design: January 2015

Over the past week we have been working nonstop on wrapping up existing design projects, starting new ones, and getting everything rolling for the launch of New South Home Couture. As exhausting as it is sometimes, it's always worth it when you see the smiles on client's faces during a reveal. With that being said, yesterday we did our first install of 2015 and are so excited to share the results with you.

When we first met our client's we started by selecting new paint colors for several rooms in their home to give everything a fresh look. From there we focused on doing a new design for their adjoining dining room and family room. There were several existing pieces of furniture that our client's had inherited and wanted to incorporate into the new design for both spaces. We love using traditional furniture that was passed down because each piece is unique and unlike anything you will find in the current furniture market. For the dining room we incorporated the existing dining table, buffet, and chairs that were reupholstered with a modern geometric print. And for the family room the existing end tables were used. Here is a look out how we pulled everything together!

The dining room is the first room you see on your right as you walk into the home so we knew right away we wanted it to set the tone for the rest of the house. We used a color palette of aqua blue with pops of soft greens to give a welcoming feel. To tie both spaces together, we carried the aqua blue over into the family room and added coral as an accent color.
