Spring High Point Market

We had some pretty exciting things going on last weekend for both New South Design and New South Home Couture! On Saturday we had the privilage of speaking at a Moms of Multiples event in Uptown Charlotte. We shared tips and tricks on how to create a beautiful home with little children running around your home on a constant basis. We will be sharing more on that topic later next month so stay tuned!

After the Moms of Multiples event we heading to High Point for Furniture Market. We spent two full days going showroom to showroom to see current trends and new product.

While at market, these 4 trends were seen everywhere!

Here are some of our favorite finds for each trend!

1. Metallic Mania

Metallics have been around for a while now, and we are happy to say that they aren't going anywhere soon. Gold is especially being seen more and more, and it was definitely the top metallic color we were seeing. We love that it is being used in so many different applications; 

from wallpaper, light fixtures, upholstery, and furniture!

2. Color Comeback

We are so excited to see that color is finally starting to make a comeback. Blues are still one of the most popular, but we were pleased to see shades of green and pink are becoming more and more popular.

3. Mid Century Modern

The mid century modern look is circling back around. We saw several pieces that have that retro vibe with a modern twist.

4. Deconstructed Geometrey

Geometric patterns have been very popular over the past few years, but we are starting to see geometric patterns in other forms. Many manufacturers are breaking down geometric forms to create super unique table bases, wall decor, and light fixtures.
